The Vermillion Cliffs in Arizona

These are found in the Northern area of Arizona and the Northern Grand Canyon. Some interesting facts about them.

1. They rise about 3,000 feet above desert land.
2. “The Wave” is what you see in the photos above at Coyote Buttes.
3. You need a permit to hike “The Wave”.
4. Deposits of iron is what makes all the variety of colors in cliffs and other formations.
